Play Yan micro rom dump!?!!??

I just seen the rom dump for this on gbatemp, what the hell I thought this was hardware.
 miss my gameboy mono

Yeah it's the same principle of your SuperCard. There is the Play Yan Hardware and the Firmware/Software that enable the Play Yan to read the SD card and play MP3/DIVX

I doubt it, i dont think the hardware is the same.

I think the play yan has a built in chip that handles the data processing for decoding the mpeg4 etc wrather than relying on software to do it.

mpeg4 funcion was added by firware update.. ( as i heard )

Standard Mpeg4 container format was added. The chip inside is an mpeg4 decoder chip, you can't add one of those by software.

This play-yan dump is more or less the exact same thing as a supercard firmware dump. If you tried to put the supercard firmware on an M3, the M3 wouldn't like work too well. Same thing goes if you tried to play play-yan software on supercard.
