hi i just started with this rom things. i was using the 2.42 and just got the 2.44 for the sd. I had borrowed some roms from my friend and noticed their extracted form is in dsq format while all the ones that i have been converting are dsi format, i notice the dsi takes a lot longger to load, is there a reason for the different formats and can i make my roms dsq??

well dsq are nds roms that are patched to load from the SD/CF directly ,dsi are nds roms that are patched to load from the supercard memory,it takes longer to load because it has to be copied to the supercard memory first, i usually use dsq for most roms but some roms that have some slow downs needs to be patched into dsi, u can find these roms on this site http://www.dualscene.net/djoen/supercardlist/data.php

is there a patcher program that i can use to patch the roms to load from the supercard? also how do these patchers work.
i had tried the ndspatcher but i couldnt get it to work, no other files were created when i draged the files onto the patcher

When you load a rom into the supercard patching software; right click on it and select properties - you'll be able to see there where you can specify where it runs from. ndspatcher is a generic flashcart patcher - there is no reason to use it really on SC.

goto the download section, then choose what type of SC card you have and you will see patching software  2.44 -  that is the SC software that you should be using.

like i said in the first post i have the 2.44.

under the properties should i have
sd card saver path
and sd card rom postion patch to get the dsq files and dsi from the sc position?
