I did a search on how to do this but it returned over 600 posts! I also didn't see a sticky on this topic.

I have whatever firmware my SC CF came with and I assume it would be a good thing for me to update it to the current 1.54.

How do I do it! Thanks.

Go to downloads section of this website.
Select "cf_new".
Get the firmware V1.54.
Copy the cf_154.bin file on your CF.
Start your DS in gba mode (holding B on start) and select the file.
