OK, I've done alot of reading, and tried using the /fs:fat flag in the cmd window, and found the HP utility and tried that guy.  It shows the card as being formatted 4GB, and being FAT, and it works, but in explorer, if I try to drag any more roms over to it, it gives me an error, saying the file or directory cant be created.  I know a few of you have done it, so I don't know if it's a deal with the card reader I'm using, or what, but it's very frustrating.  Anyhow, thanks in advance.

I believe formatting to FAT32 will solve your memory issue, give it a try.

marzxbarz: I had originally had it as fat32, but my SC wasn't happy with that, and from what I read, it has to be FAT, not FAT32.

johnny9562001: I grabbed the utility you talked about, ran it, and had the same problem, but in messing around, I found that I was able to copy over a different file, which was not a dsq file from my cs\out folder.  I'm thinking maybe something is wrong with the dsq files now, because I was able to copy over a 500mb file with no problems to it.  So all along it may have been a corrupt file problem or something like that.  Very strange, I haven't seen anything like this before, but who knows.

Thank you both for your suggestions on this.  I appreciate how quick you were with responses.

with the FAT file system you cannot have too many files in one directory . .. could that be the problem ?
Yes I'm mad

use windows disk manager to format it, thats what i did and i have like 3.7gb of usable space

FAT root directory is limited to 511 files. You have to use sud dirs if you want to store more files on your card
