Greetings,

i just started messign around with getting movies worknig on my ds but have somewhat hit a wall - after converting movies at a smaller screen size than the actual ds screen with the dpgtools whever i open the movie up in teh ds it is always stretched to become full screen - is there a setting or a button combination to prevent this?

cheers

i am not aware of it,
but why would you want that anyway?

Altor

I doubt that the DS has the capability to dynamically do transform (resize) operations on video, so it sounds like your problem is located in the encoder, not Moonshell.

thaive

i was resizing the movies to be smaller to test if they would play faster, the movies themselves are smaller than the ds's screen size (dimension wise - even moonshell tells me this)  but moonshell stretches the movie to cover the whole screen, thereby making them pixelated

thaive

ok .. well .. does this happen to anyone else of they convert a movie with the dpgenc tools at a size smaller than the ds screen?

Altor

Ohhh I see what you mean.  Hmm... well I don't think anyone on earth has ever had reason to make video on the DS be smaller than it already is, so nobody's complained yet.

thaive

well it just seems a little silly to inlcude an option that doesn't work then, although i would have use for such an option as some of my movie pieces i make are designed to be at a smaller size than the ds-s screen.

on another not the volume boosting slider also seems to be redundant - erhaps its just me but i can't boost any movie i put it no matter what extension it has.

Devil_Spawn

it isnt a slider...... you use x and y

thaive

i know that in moonshell you press x and y - but i was referring the other dpg tools which you use to convert the movies, it has a volume slider there, much like the brightenss and blur slider

Devil_Spawn

i didnt think you could make that mistake , sry
