Supercard MiniSD Saves

I have been reading through a number of posts, but cant seem to find any definitive answer to questions I have regarding saving on minisd

I am using DS roms with MML

1) Does the Saver menu have any purpose with DS games? It seems to overwrite my saved games with a blank save; cant quite work out what is going on

2) When I save my game (standard in-game save as appropriate) and then turn off, the save is kept, I was wondering where these are stored. They dont appear to be the same ones as shown in the Saver menu - as mentioned above, these appear to be blank or something else is going wrong.

Just getting a bit confused as to how the saving occurs; I have already lost one saved game by selecting a .sav from the Saver menu and sleecting Yes when asked if i want to save to SD

Hope this is not too garbled and someone can explain further details to me

Many thanks in advance for any help

It's only usefull for GBA roms or anything that saves to the Sram. DS roms save directly to the file, thus when you select to overwrite with the sram contents it will blank the file as there is nothing in the sram.

Thanks for the reply.

Additionally, do I need to make any changes to the way the roms are converted? Seen a lot of stuff about choosing SD save or similar; is this necessary?

To find the DS options (not the option tab, that is for gba) when you add a rom double click it (or right click and choose properties), here you can set... trim rom, faster gameplay, in game reset ect (Ireccomend having all 3 on) .. there is an option there too to have the supercard save to the ds slot or sd/cf card.. just leave it set to sd/cf card unless a particular rom needs it.
