I havn't got a supercard yet, im waiting to order an sc lite when they are out. Sent back my ultra flash card set today but writing roms on it meant the extension for the ds rom was changed. I've seen somewhere else that supercard has a different extension to run hombrew and ds roms i think it's "romname.sc.nds" ?? i think anyway  :?  Can someone give me a brief run through of how to run homebrew software like beup on a supercard? From the beup thread it seems like no one had any problems with getting the program running, but when i tried to do it on my ultra media card it ruined my flash pass  :? don't matter though cause im getting a refund for it :P would just like to get info on the supercard in advance of getting one.

Thanks in advance.

This is what I do: Take the Romname.ds.gba file and rename it to Romname.nds

Beup works just fine on SC for me.

The program looks too cool i can't wait to use it, does it work perfectly? I can imagine it being quite buggy but if it's stable enough im gona be even more excited about using it. Can you do pretty much everything you can in the real windows messenger live? e.g. emoticons, nudges, changing general options?

It looks too good to work without faults. : P

If ds roms run with the normal .nds extension with supercard does that mean you can simply copy and paste roms straight to the drive where your sd card is without converting then through a writer which is what most flashcards have to do now.

Thanks.

ds roms need patched. very simple process though.

but anything homebrew like msn (beup) and ds organise can run the files from a straight .nds extension?

Andy C

will moonshell boot from .nds aswell or .ds.nds?

richardv

moonshell is a .nds
you simply run setup from the moonshell package and point it to your sd card. It will set up the .nds and the shell folder needed.

sorry to be a pain but could you point me in the direction of the moonshell setup? The one i have tried out is very similar to how i used to create pogoshell files if you know it, but you have to create the files and add on the mp3's in windows then compress it to a single file like pogoshell which means you cant just simply put music/videos onto the sd directory on the pc and surf through them using moonshell on the ds.

Thanks.

Yes, they run straight from .nds extension.

Doesn't beup come as beup.sc.nds?  If so, that's the one you want.
