SC miniSD problems: advice?

Hey guys!!

So, I finally got a miniSD SC, only to find that it wouldn't read any SD cards. Following the advice here in the forums, I opened it up and bent the pins in the reader so that they made a better connection with my card. Problem solved, it worked fine after that. Well, it worked fine for two days anyway ... :(

Now I'm getting the SDRAM error, and I can't load any games (GBA, DS, whatever - everything white screens). The problem is that since I removed the little sticker over the screw on the bottom of the SC, the company I bought it from won't take it back for exchange.

So my question is, does anyone have any advice on either 1) how to fix the problem or 2) how to get the SC replaced ... ? Thanks for your help / mavis

Well you definently cant replace it once you opened it and ruin it.

Read again. I opened it and FIXED it, because it didn't work out of the box and the problem was an easily fixable one that is well-documented on the boards here ... ;)

The problem now is unrelated, and didn't occur until two days after I fixed the first problem. Unrelated.

My only suggestion is to take a look at the pins again.  Perhaps it's a different pin this time causing a different error?

I can't help you but I really feel for you. Too bad this isn't a known product that you can just take back to the store and Wal-Mart swap it. I hate it when I get bad stuff. I hope everything goes well and it gets replaced. I guess I was lucky not to have had this happen to mine.
