I am not as you can see from previous posts above, I live in the US, and they did say they and came thru with the pricing. I will say that the shipping was 13.00 dollars. But when I ordered Kicktrading were the only ones to have sclite in stock.

I think that realhotstuff would most likely be a great company to buy from, they just did not have it in stock at the time I wanted to purchase. I also bought my last sc sd from kick and they were great service then as well.

Alright I am in Vancouver, BC, Canada.  West Coast of canada.  Where would it be better to buy from, I wouldn't mind waiting until they had stock, but the shipping time does matter, and the cost also matters.  Also how is the service?

At the moment I think realhotstuff has them in stock and kick trading is now out of stock. I don't know if your post on this thread will be seen by realhotstuff. I would recommend reposting in the real hot forum on this site.

But the thing is I gotta wait another couple of days before buying an SC Lite, but I'm thinking of getting an M3 Mini SD instead.  My question is, which seller is better if I am in Vancouver...

realhotstuff  :D  and they mentioned if you live in canada you have to pay tax if you order from kicktrading.

i ordered from kicktrading, from vancouver myself and it came in 3 days.  I debated about ordering from RHS but I didn't want to wait that long or pay for extra duties.

So you had to pay extra?  How much extra?  Why is it that international shipping would not land extra pay and yet ordering from your own country, you get taxed?

Well if you go to the RealHotStuff's forum (not the one here, on their site), there's a post about him being able to mark the value as a LOW value to avoid custom fees ($5 CAD + applicable taxes). So thus, that way you avoid paying extra when it arrives. Quite a few forum members at gbatemp who are Canadian have mentioned they did not get dinged at customs from buying at RHS.

Whereas at a Canadian seller like kicktrading, there's no way around it. You HAVE to pay the taxes b/c they are calculated for you when you check out.

So PRO for buying from a Canadian site is faster shipping, and definitely not having to deal with customs
CON is most likely to have to pay more.
Take your pick, either way you get the product.

Have you not bought stuff out of Canada before? Simple stuff dude.

for me i rather pay the taxes and make sure i get my stuff fast from kicktrading, then wait through the package to go through customs and get dinged with duty.  not to mention if i was to buy from RHS and they shipped with ups they charge some type of brokerage fee on top which could be like 20-30 brokerage handling fee or something.  If you are Canadian help out your own economy and buy stuff from your own country.  my 2cents

i think rhs says that you don't have to pay for any of the taxes and stuff. so theres no problem with borkerage there.

Did you even read the post above yours??

1) They (RHS) said they will mark it as a low value and thus you won't pay duties. You only pay duties on merchandise OVER $20 CANADIAN. I've yet to hear of a Canadian dinged up customs due to ordering at RHS.

2) They don't ship by UPS (maybe an option but it's not the only option). They ship by USPS, that's REGULAR mail and it gets transfered to Canada Post. You only pay brokerage fees with COURIER mail, like UPS since they have to do the paper work for your package to get across the border.

3) LOL at help your own economy.

As I said, it's your choice and either way you get the same product. Just a matter of saving some money and/or saving some time.

I ordered mine from kicktrading.ca last frday and got it on tuesday so really fast shipping probably because I live like 10min from them but if you're in Canada I'm pretty sure kicktrading will get it to you faster and tax was like $10 so not too big of a deal. BTW, how much does shipping from Real Hot Stuff cost? kicktrading for me was like $10CAD

sneef

if you're in canada, that's great.. but seriously, if you live in the U.S. don't buy from kicktrading. .they take WAY too long

Well I ordered my sclite/passkey and extras on Aug 11 and they arrived at my house Aug 18. That was really fast I thought. I will say when I ordered my first SC SD earlier this year it took about 1 1/2 - 2 weeks (including weekends). I am very happy with the service thus far.
