Sadly, rt2500 support is fully broken in Knoppix.
I do not know what is causing this, but I don't think I can fix it.
I will however look into writing a new part of my guide for use with the rt2500 chipset.
This will use Katonix 2005-04 (possibly lite, experimenting tomorrow).
I will then have a howto with the title I have now given it with this scheme:

                  ______normal
                  |_____slow-system
       ___rt2570--|_____OpenSuse
howto--|
      |
      """"rt2500--normal
               (|)*
               (--------slow-system)*

*slow system version is optional depending on the capabilites of katonix (I have never worked with Katonix before).

I will try my best to finish the guide before monday, should be possible neh? :).

Really sorry I'm working on it so much, but I want to make it very nice for this compo.
And adding rt2500 support is something I believe is very interesting to people as the Windows WMB tool no longer works with the new DSlite.

Any tips are welcome!

p.s. Thanks to john over at the DSlinux forums to be my tester!

O.K. all there is now is testing and finishing the "surprise" again :) as it is no longer acurate ;).
I will upload it as definitive before monday or if I get good test results whichever comes first (although I am pretty sure it will work).

Ratx, could I ask you for a way to host the new surprises (2 sets) again (how should I send them to you....)?
I really can't host them myself now as it is 2x250Mb :s.

Scor

Hey Ratx, I can host one of the video zips, if you could then mirror it I can remove it and upload the other one.
The one I will upload (I will post when it is done) will be in:
Once I have it uploaded please tell me so I can change and edit my new pages (revision3) to link to your mirror.
*upload of the first set of surprises is at 95%, and I have finished the second set of surprises (only 200Mb this time)*
**upload done**

Scor

Thanks!
I'm uploading the second one now :).

I'm starting on the Dutch version.
I won't redo the videos though.
*edit*I'm unsure wether I will finish :s I will upload everything I've got before monday in my timezone.
**edit2**Done!
There, a Dutch version of my howto :P!
I'm adding the link to the Dutch version of the howto to the first English howto page (just follow the old link).

Just so we're clear, can this be used to flash a DS or not? I'd much rather own a Nintendo USB dongle than a Passme device! Your walkthrough mentions that some demos work and some don't. How about the flasher program... ?

Scor

My guide can be used to flash your DS if:
1.You have a capable GBA media (adapter), see my beginners guide to DS homebrew for details.
2.Your DS is a DS with firmware version 1,2 or 3.
