Hi All,

When i add roms to the supercard they appear as "tw-nsmb.nds" but is there a way to change it to like "New Super Mario Bros.nds"?
The way it is very hard to know what game is what.
Surely there is a way for the supercard client to have the option to rename the rom or put the correct name the first time.
If anyone could help it would be fantastic.

You could just rename it yourself like you would rename any other file...

Hi,

Are you serious?
I use alot of back up cart software and DONT have to rename roms on any except Supercard.
The pc software should allow users to rename b4 it burns to the cart.
Roman needs to address this as its a real pain in the butt.
OMG add 20 games then have to rename like 40 files i dont think so.

Hi m8,

Thanks heaps it worked gr8.
I still think the client should have an option like "right click to rename" then it can transfer and all  files will be renamed.
Oh well they might fix it in the next client release.

dude just rename your NDS files when you download them... rename them in the zip and rename the zip... then when you go to patch them at any time they are already named....

Yeah the patcher should rename the roms as it outputs it to .dsq format.  That would be awesome.  But for the time being I use NDSCRC from advansCEne.  it does the job.

Hi,

YES you are right the patcher should rename the roms but i dont think they have plans to do so.
There ore other back up cart clients that are much more advanced then the supercard patcher.
I suppose 1 day they will catch up and in the man time i will have to manually rename the roms.
Ijust thought if the patcher renamed them it would be easy for everyone not just myself.

yes you can rename it manually after patching..

ex..  remane trm-smb.nds.dsq and trm-smb.sav to

newsupermario.nds.dsq and newsupermario.sav

I think the .sav file needs to be .nds.sav? :D

What I like to do is keep every game in its own folder... name the folder appropriately and who cares what the file itself is called.  This way you can use the FAT organizer program to rename folders and not get the filenames cropped.
