How do you even use the GBAMP for NDS stuff?
I tried flashing it using the flash.gba file, seems to work.
Then ran it thru the ndspatcher tool, added the _BOOTXXX_.NDS file in the root of the CF card and nothing.  I can't evenget homebrew to work.
Is there astep I'm missing.  That's the problem with these kinds of tools nowadays, there are no n00b readmes :)

I couldn't get any of the commercial roms to work after I finally got a chance to try.  The home brew stuff you put a _BOOT_MP.gba file on there that points to a _boot_mp.nds rom.   You can hex edit _boot_mp.gba to have it boot a different name.  It's a pain in the ass.  Scumm VM works great though, sam and max with sound, and upper screen zooms onto talking chars.

If it doesn't support commercial roms the supercard has nothing to worry about, and they should remove the comment saying it will.   I haven't tried but a couple commercial roms and couldn't get them to run at all.

http://137.224.220.30/omfg_gbamp_warez.zip shows commercial roms running from gbamp, but I can't seem to get it to.  They seem to have a different method of loading than I have been able to find.

what's up with that long thumb nail...? heh.

At that location, but on some other forum, can't for the life of me remember which one.

It sure looks like a gba movie player.  I thought they only stole the cart design, didn't know they took the cart design, label design, and menu and copied them all for the m3.

It's made by the same folks who created the GBAMP :)

QuoteShoryu... are you sure roms that have been patched with ndspatch.exe can't work on the gbamp with chishm's firmware?  I don't care if he's against piracy or not... i'm just curious. brakken's news report made logical sense to me, however I don't own a gbamp.  (and i am not going to buy one, as i already have a couple 512mbit carts and the supercard too)

Thats one way but i am not sure if it will work with every option.

I'm pretty sure that the m3 is made by the same people that made me GABMP, the m3 is just a newer version, i.e. GBAMPv1, GBAMPv2, gbaMpv3= M3.... of course that could just be my way of thinking....

Whos offical site? M3's? If so refer to sneefs post above yours. Also the firmware wil be continued to be worked on no matter how many future sales they have. Are you telling me that GBAMP released a new firmnware only because they sold alot of new units lately? Umm im gonna guess no. As with all types of things dealing in this manner, after we buy something were at the mercy of the coders to do the up keep. Now along those lines coders are more likely to keep on blessing us with new updates if they can see that there work is appreciated. Believe me "Thank yous" go alot further with these people then "they better hurry up and release a new version". Be patient and thankful for what you do have.

The official forums, people are asking why sc has such crap compatiablility and placing links to that chart.

The GBAmp people stopped updating firmware long ago, all the new features have been added by unofficial hackers, but you better believe that GBAmp's at $25 will be selling like hotcakes now.

I also noticed that neoflash has released a universal flasher, http://www.neoflash.com/forum/index.php?topic=807.0  looks like the sc is the only card other than my 5 year old 256mb flash card that can't play 512mb roms.

Money drives companies, not thanks, if the sc is to thrive people have to continue to buy it, at least until the quanity sold gets a large enough that the hacker base can add needed functions the device.

Crappy compatibility, depend about what.

About GBA, it's far rom perfect, but in all the roms I tested (my favorite 10), only one was slow (Wining Eleven).

About DS, the compatiblity is very high (check the compatibility list).
