it seems their out right know you might want to check later.

Well... I bought two of the 1GB Sandisk Ultra II for my Supercard Lite. I then recently wennt over to my local Verizon center and bought 1 standard 2GB Sandisk card. So far I have not seen any performance slowing between the two different card. Castlevania intro runs the same way on both... smooth. Metroid Prime Pinball has no slowdown at all. The only difference between the standard and ultra is when you are transfering the files from your PC to your card. I don't know about most people... I can afford the time to wait to get the benefits of having a 2GB card versus a 1GB card. It isn't a big deal to me.

I completely support the above posters assessment. The 2GB Sandisk MicroSD is plenty fast enough to have no noticable slowdown in any game and is much more convenient than 1GB.

On my 2GB Sandisk MicroSD the Castlevania DoS intro runs like crap.
ine:
Black DS Lite
Superkey
Supercard Lite
2GB Sandisk Micro SD

Brother's:
Black DS Lite
Superkey
Supercard SD
1GB Sandisk SD

Thats because the speeds on the 2GB microSD are the same as the 1GB but the access times are just a tad slower. Thats why the Castlevania intro is lagging.

This is why I like the CF and told someone to get the same, access speeds are not a problem, I also noted that defragmenting with powerdefragmenter (http://www.excessive-software.eu.tt/ it's free) would ensure everything was as sweet as could be.

now I'd love the lite in my normal DS - nothing sticking out !

isn't the issue with the SD cards the code to read them at full speed is licensed or something

For the guy with the 2GB micrSD, are you sure you haven't turned off the 'fastergameplay' option, this would severely effect you're mem cards performance.

Also for the ones posting about slow-down in Nanostray, that is an original game problem, the limits of the DS are pushed and it has nothing to do with mem speed.
Yes I'm mad

yeah, something like that.  The format is capable of 4-bit reading, but I believe that it's only running a single bitstream on supercard SD.  correct me if my numbers are off..

My 2GB Sandisk MicroSD definetly does NOT lag in the Castlevania intro. It runs completely smoothly. I may create a video of it if anyone is in doubt.

We believe you.    Sneef was talking about slowdown with SCSD and SC miniSD.  They don't access SD media at maximum possible speed.  The supercard Lite is supposed to be the fastest Supercard yet, even faster than SCCF.   I think the Supercard Light might be taking advantage of recent improvements made with MMC (serial mode) throughput.  I'm not sure.

sonicwind

it doesn't matter aslong as its faster   But i'm really anxious to hear about this m3 lite since it keeps getting delayed O_o.
