Thundrestrike

The DS can only execute GBA code from the GBA slot.
It's rather disappointing that it requires your DS to be flashed. Did they not have enough space? I'll wait a while to see if one that doesn't need flashme is released.

birdman505

anyone have a clue on much this might cost?  It has to cost more than a Supercard because the tech that went into had to cost the developers more right? :?

PharaohsVizier

Well they did save 10 cents on the plastic for the cart, shrinking from gba to ds...  lol

But I hope it is only like $50, cuz if it is, I might be able to afford one, any more than that, I guess I gotta wait...  :(

So do you think m3 or supercard will catch on, or do you think itll be awhile b4 that happens?

Thundrestrike

heh, they should release a software that does the opposite of flashme

lets call it GBAme, that instead of running DS code out of the GBA slot, it runs gba code out of the DS slot! genius!

GBAme! 8)

Or they could just create a GBA emulator so we could all get perfect GBA on our SuperCard's no matter which model we have!

LOL.. that would be funny.. a GBA emulator for hardware that natively supports GBA.  I believe if you tried to emulate GBA in NDS mode you'd be worse-off for performance than just sticking with the supercard's GBA performance.

Thundrestrike

well sneef what do you say about "GBAme"? for the DS-slot flashcards?

I was thinking about that too,  but Id rather have an Emu,  cus then you wouldnt need a GBA Flash card to do GBAme

Supercard DS One nonSDHC-2GB-Black DS Lite

Thundrestrike

why would you need a gba flashcard for GBAme?

flashme can be accessed from the gba flashcard, so therefore GBAme should be able to be launched from the DS slot

I just thought of something strange
why would DSlink need flashme, if all flashme does is boot unsigned DS code from the gba slot? DSlink is in the DS SLOT :x

I was thinking flashme=passme
GBAme=gba pass

sorry its the lack of sticky notes...im very dumb

maybe RSA encryption?

PharaohsVizier

I just realized, what happens if you get DSLink as your first cart, and you need to passme/flashme, how would that be possible if it is hogging the passme slot already?

Also, I was wondering how it would work with passme, doesn't passme just boot up GBA Flash cart?

And lastly, I'm really hoping this comes cheap, it looks awesome and I really want it...
