Since this kind of involved a Supercard SD, I thought I would ask. :)

I recently got a NeoFlash MK2 for free, and as part of what it needs to work, it requires a GBA Flash Cartridge ... this however is before FlashMe 0.7 where you could boot it up without a GBA flash cart.

cory1492 who is also a very avid poster here wrote a FAQ on how to do it, and it still requires a GBA flash cart for one aspect of the operation. My question is, can you use a Supercard SD as the GBA flash cart?

Thanks!

I can provide a link to the original FAQ if need be too.

Yes the Supercard SD is a GBA flash cart

Not sure if I remember correctly, but I think it required a GBA flash cart with battery-backed SRAM.  Only the miniSD version of supercard has that.

Again, I'm not sure if I remember correctly, and I just woke up, so take this with a grain of salt! :)

Yea only the miniSD has a battery backed SRAM, that is why everytime you use the Supercard u have to write the SRAM then turn off then turn on again...  Thats the only reason I got the MiniSD, btw does microsd have SRAM?

sneef

supercard lite has no battery-backed sram

That's not true at all. You only need a standard homebrew device (GBAmp will do) to boot from the GBA slot to NDS slot, install the latest firmware and FlashME will boot automatically, when you do that.  :)

To the one person above ... yes, I know that the Supercard SD is a GBA Flash cart, but I know that it isn't one also in the most traditional sense since you load roms into the memory from the GBA itself.

MaHe ... think you could walk me through getting it working? I do have my DS flashed up to FlashMe v7, so that step is already done, I'm just not having any luck getting the NeoFlash MK2 to be detected. I do admittedly need to try another SD card, mine may not work with it (which sucks)
