Is the Max Media player(nopass that comes with the 4gb HD) the same as the max media launcher(the one that is sold seperately)

Yes, its the same nopass device that comes with the MMP. It lacks the sleep feature so I suggest getting a better brand like SuperKey or PassCard3.
