where could i  get a replacement shell/case for my ds in the UK (not Ebay)becuase i need one my ds phats hinge has cracked and i want to replace it with a new shell! could someone please help me

Sorry bud ebay is going to be your only solution as they seem to be custom made. If you had a DS Lite there are a set of new cases coming out to retail but none for the Phat. It might be cheaper to buy a new DS Phat.

just use superglue on it...works wonders..
or buy a new one.
