I dont know whether or not my supercard is defective or not, but whenever i turn on my ds lite, I get two white screens. And this occurs before I get to the supercard menu. The supercard worked before but I dont know why its not working now. Is there a way to fix it? Like updating the firmware?

What kind of supercard is it? Have you tried reformatting the SD/CF or whatever memory card it uses?
Also, try turning on the DS while holding L+R. It will perform an SRAM test. Let me know what it says.

i have a minisd supercard, and yeah I formatted the card to FAT16. I tried holding L+R and still nothing.

Hmm, do you know what version firmware are you running?
Try downloading the latest one here:

Put the update.scu file on your minsd and see if it asks you to update when you power on the DS.

Apply pressure to your supercard (squeeze it), and while still applying pressure, try to turn it on. It may not work at first, but keep trying. I have read on other forums that this can sometimes cause it to work, as odd as it may sound.

Also, as a last resort, check to make sure you have a legit SuperCard mini by going here: http://eng.supercard.cn/fake.htm

I tried the upgrade.scu and nothing appeared. The same goes for the pressure method as well. I was running version 1.62 before it crashed on me with two white screens. I think the problem happened when I was running the update until I accidentally turned off the ds.

Hmm, well it looks like you're out of luck. Try to talk to the place you bought it from to see if you can get it replaced. If not, look on the bright side....you can now get a supercard lite

supercard lite for ds lite only rite ? actually i also got this similar problem. Can't even go to the super card menu then it shows 2 white screens le. Put the update file in but nothing happen. Refomatting the miniSD card to FAT format but still won't help. What could be the possible cause(s) ? Thanks in advance..

this was happening to a UFP.  It turned out to be a contact error,  Like when you put a DS game in then right when you turn the DS on  it freezes.  Look at the SC's pins and the DSs pins with a flashlight

Yes, the supercard lite will only work for DS Lites.

It seems as if your card is defective too....
