Still a few weeks away for a release [and many months for a translation], but damn, I hope this game is good, has an interesting mix of old and new, and showcases DS abilities well.
If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.

PharaohsVizier

I hope it turns out good.  I was a big fan of pokemon until sapphire and ruby, it just was too much.  Leaf green and Fire red brought me back into the scene though.

So i'm kinda mixed on this issue.

My boy asks me every few days (he's 6).. a total pokemon freak with the gba ones. I really hope this comes soon, he's been aware and waiting for about a year now.
Yes I'm mad

Deadmon

I'm really excited for it, but I'm trying to restrain myself from learning all the new Pokémon/features that weren't announced yet until the NA release..

memyselfandi

I'm not really excited about it but i would like to play it... i just dont like having to learn all these new pokemon, unlike Deadmon...
am The Best and you Know it!!!

PharaohsVizier

Yea, I hate how many pokemon there are now.  How many is it now?  Last time I checked it was like 350...  I think 150 was pretty good, once they added the new pokemon, it just went downhill...

LOL.. I totally agree with you personally, but my boy (6 yrs) would have no problem with a 1000 pokemon, he understands completley Yu Gi Oh and tries to explain it to me... I just have a glazed look on my face and I try to nod accordingly.... you should hear his maths abilities, I cannot believe how good he is and I have personally (and shamefully) not even taught him anything about maths.  :?  yet he shows up everyone in the household with his mental arithmatic ... multiplication, division with fractions and decimals all in the same sum, all in his head (must of got from his mum, though she must keep it hidden)

edit.. often we have to tap it out on a calculator to make sure he's right, and he always is

Haoie

Should probably get the J version beforehand just to try it out.

I wonder if the translation will be out in time for XMAS sales?

PharaohsVizier

I hope so, but usually pokemon takes like 6 months to translate.  They are pretty big games with LOTS of text...

Definately, looks like a possible spring 2007 release...

I still prefer all the first 151 monsters though, nostalgia...:)
