That is completely and utterly pathetic. It's almost as stupid as those idiots who queue up for brand new consoles for hours then smash it up in front of the line of people.
The mentality of people these days makes me sick.

If I had enough money to waste, i'd probably break it for fun. Especially in front of a bunch of people in line waiting to get one. I mean if I paid for it then I paid enough money for them to make another one for someone else or they wouldn't be a business.

From them giving you a prepaid UPS shipping label to me getting it back in my hands took just a bit over a week. Nothing too long at all. Free of charge is my favorite part.

Grr.. found a hairline fracture on the near the right shoulder button. Thank god there is NOC headquarters down in Richmond BC! Might head down there  after I finish all my exams.

w00t WooT! I just went to the NOC and went in to get my NDS Lite unit exchanged and I got a new "refurbished" unit, which we all know is brand smacking new! It only took 10 mins and I was out of there! CSR was excellent and plus I got a new warranty starting from today =). Gotta give kudos to Nintendo for honouring their warranty!

that's awesome news, man.  I myself just kept the flashed NDS.  I didn't want to go through the hassle of reflash, ship, wait for back-ship, worry about flashing new unit, blah blah blah.  The hairline crack is irritiating, but I followed Mota's tut on how to "cement" the plastics, and just not look at the crack.

HEY!, for that picture, i have that same crack on my NDS lite... for those that know the structure, does it have any chance of ... coming off and destroying my ds? -.- paranoid... bleh (and i just sent it in to fix some cracked hinge on the left side.. maybe i didnt specify that crack on the right...)

Hey noabody you should probably send your ds in to Nintendo before it brakes off completely, for some reason Nintendo doesn't like me and keep telling me I cant return it for the right hinge, but if you get a nice person they will let you.  I have more broken ds lites than non-broken

I just got a return from Nintendo back last week it had 3 stuck pixels, but whats weird with that one is that the hinge does not snap as loud when you open it, it might just be because its new or maybe they made the hinges weaker.  Here is my entire colection

I just need just enough to have one working at all times, also that way I dont have to worry about a hinge breaking :lol:

No just kidding, I have been  buying them on ebay broken, fixing them, led modding them and selling them back on ebay.

It seems that the broken right hinge is not isolated to only the white DS Lite.

My daughters pink DSLite has suffered the broken right hinge.

I know she looks after it very well and was disgusted to say the least when the hinge broke off completely.

She was heartbroken :cry: as it is her favourite toy.  It still works, but holding it is a bit of a problem for her small hands.

I contacted Nintendo in the UK today by email and am awaiting their reply.

Hopefully have some joy there.
