@pharoah
flashme allows unsigned code to be used on the nds thus allowing you to play roms and homebrew etc.  atleast i think its something like that. Because its not like you have the original game in there.

Yea I understand all that.  But I'm saying, when you boot up a DS with flashme, it automatically turns on the GBA side, you have to hold select for it to boot to the normal screen.  What happens when I have a GBA flashcart in there and a DS sized cart, do I have to hold select everytime I want to access the DS flash carts?

sonicwind

no one knows right now since its not out yet.  When it comes out i think everything will become clear

Good thing I waited. This seems like the perfect solution! Hopefully its not too expensive.

wouldn't a cart like this pretty much have to use direct-to-card saving like the Supercard already does? in other words, no battery. That's gonna be a very different firmware from anything M3's ever done before.

It would be nice (and a bit ironic) if GBA flashcarts got popular again, only sized the same as the DSL dustcover.

sonicwind

well i guess there wouldn't be any room to fit a battery in a ds cartridge O_o and i would like gba carts to be popular which they still are since no ds solutions have been released yet but i'd like one with a glossy cover so that it actually looks like a dust cover.

Of course you couldn't fit a battery in a DS cart but that’s why they use EEPROM Memory! All DS games use EEPROM Memory to save to. Even the MK4-Mini has some in it for saving.

But I'm sure this solution would use straight to flash memory saving much like the SuperCard products do now.
