DS overclocking mod

I know it's quite old but has anyone here tried it? If so, could you let me know of your experiences as I'm thinking of doing it to my barely used phat as I usually use my DSL

I believe it does

I want to do it becuase my phat gets no use anymore and isn't in any kind of condition to sell so rather than let it rot in a drawer or something, I may as well 'try' and do something interesting with it that I wouldn't dare do with my shiney Lite!

Boots stores in the UK were selling DS phats for £30 yesterday! If I'd managed to get one I would've used my old phat as a test run and then done a better job on the new one to resell.

if it runs stable at 1.7x, it sure could give emulators a boost, and movies could be encoded to look much better.

I am thinking of doing this mod to one of my extra ds lites. Do you guys know if there is any risk in over clocking it?

can you actually go faster in games like mario kart while online?
if so, that would suck playing against somebody with an overclocked ds xP

It would not be possible to do that because it would be too fast for the other ds and it would be like its lagging and it would just disconnect. My supercard DS SD card is too slow for the track to load and it just disconnects me.

What do you mean buy "No condition to sell..."

Because I'm not picky, and I might buy it for my sister so she'll STOP PLAYING ON MY NDS if it's cheap enouph... and not overclocked.
