If i do use this version it loads extremely slow, in particular if i do use right click open in another window function...


I did upgrade latest (Win Me) security packs and now i have been obliged to undergrade to IE 5 to evitate this slowdowns with IE 6 SP1 on windows millennium edition

anyone came across this same problem?


((ps. I know Win Me is far away from a decent os , but i must use this on   my pc for some reasons...i do use mandriva on my laptop and mozilla too. ...)))

just curious: what's to stop you from using another browser (open source) in winME environment?  it's simply Win9x, and anything should work on it...

[edit] by the way, i ran windows ME for over a year with ZERO problems.  I had 2000 on another drive, and was only using ME for win9x testing, but honestly, i think as long as people weren't running outdated hardware, and knew what they were doing, ME is actually a nice operating system.  Now I prefer ubuntu or fedora core, but please don't bash a system that is not really that bad at all [/edit]

sorry i've been taking your time to copy with my grumbles...
I did only aske if anyone came across my same problem in order to came to a soluton in a faster way ,and not to start a schizofrenic unistalling and re-installing progrs  tour, since i disabled automatic system restoration function..


anymway i have to use win me on this pc cause i share this my older brother that want to move to anever version since he do uses it for part of his job of lawyer and want not to change its stuff...that its the the reason...and must use IE cause some italian websites i do use frequently are not fully functional with the wonderful firefox, yes it is not so a big problem but i do love prefection.. :oops:

anyway i'm trying to figure it by myself...
on the laptop where i do share 40 gb Mandriva adn 40 winXP i tried the IE 7 beta and it has been improved with tab browsing as firefox..

i use firefox 99.9% of the time apart from one italian website that dont work with firefox but i just use opera for that one

hey guys i did solved the problem, it took just using my old  alcool steamed up brain for a few minutes (thank you prof. Kawashima )


just DISABLE THE USE OF THIRD PARTS BROWSER EXTENSIONS IN advance options tab of IE 6SP1

i hope someome with the same problem can solve this "right click other page" issue if it should appear

yes Jmr, actually varios websites are still progra,,ed to be fully useable by IE user, yes it is to blame but it is a fact...
