Some time ago one mate of scdev  started a thread about the possibility/opportunity to build a voice-sound recorder app through NDS mic. then some news were passed but i dunno the latest outlook of this project..

if anyone knows something about a NDS voice recorder let us know or we will obliged to still use the one included in Nintendo Dogs...

There is such a feature in the latest build of DSOrganize. Sadly the quality of the recording is actually quite bad :( I'll cover this feature in my "DSOrganize How to" update later this month.

i had some problem with this latest release,,if you delete a file (with bin extension), the same NDSORGANIZE.SC.NDS file is deleted--

i deleted latest firmware after upgrading then i had my ds organize rom disappeared.. no errors found with scandisk...

anyway i know that it can rec (its a matter of Y)...;) but i was aking about a previous project started

yea i'm talking about preview 2.2. Well I thought you were looking for a voice recording solution. I don't know about any other project.
I didn't face the issue you describe though. Seems like it is a bug indeed. Maybe should you report it on shaun taylor's official forum or something ;)

Well there was a 'game' that did that shown at E3. Though there were no announced plans as to release it. I'm suprised there isn't a rom of the demo floating around.

I was wondering, can the DS handle some sort of encoder on the fly?
Lets say you start recording, the app fills the RAM with you voice as RAW sound, encodes it (OGG?) and free the cache for continued recording.

I was actually pleasently surprised with the quality of the mic.  I had a musical pen that played the Virginia Tech fight song that I wanted to record before the thing died.  I recorded it on my Kyocera mobile phone's voice recorder and it sounded muffled and poor, but on my DS it sounded very good for being mono quality.

datel has a neat little NDS earpiece with a mic thats supposed to be better quality than the orginal NDS mic... does anyone know if a better quality mic would improve the recording?
