supercard is the cheapest if you actually want good ds gameplay.

PharaohsVizier

It really depends what you are looking for, if you want DS games and cheap, then you want Supercard.  If you want FULL compatibility and every game out there then M3 is your bet.  If you get older flashcarts that are cheaper, be prepared to have great games not work...

sonicwind

he only mentioned playing ds stuff so he should go with supercard since it has no slowdowns on it unlike some crappy cheap cards out there.

Satangel

This is the cheapest SuperCard combo I found.
It has what I want, except a SD cart.

SuperCard (SD) & Superkey

And how big are roms now?
Because at DG emu there are roms who are about 512 MBit. So does that mean there can only fit 2 of these roms on my SD card?

sonicwind

SD will stick out like a mother :P and you would still need an SD card. and also 512Mbit is NOT MegaBYTE so since MBit is 1/8 of a MegaBYTE then 512Mbit is only 64MegaBYTE. and thats not the biggest 128MB is. don't worry 1 GB is plenty enough for just DS games.

Satangel

Maybe Ill buy the SuperCard Lite MicroSD, but thats again almost 100 euros and then Im better of with a M3 for the same price...

sonicwind

m3 won't come with any type of nopass device or any flash memory.  For cheaper but more hastle you can get the supercardlite+superkey combo for 74$ with shipping after you put in the member rebate from this site. then go to newegg.com and get a standard or Ultra 2 sandisk 1GB microsd for 45$ or 55$(shipping included) gaurenteed 3 day shipping.
so total is 119$ or 129$ and 129$ US is about 100Euros so i would think thats a good deal.
plus M3 would cost more and STILL stick out.

Satangel

Ok tnx sonicwind for the fast and informative post.
Are you glad with the quality of the SuperCard? Dont the roms crash often, or not?

Maybe Ill buy this combo and the SD card in a regular store.

I have a supercard SD and now a SCLite and I haven't had a DS rom crash yet. The choice above would be great for you.

Now, enough debating. Go out and order one and make yourself happy! You won't be sorry.

Satangel

Still one question :).

Could anyone post a tut or a video on how to flash your DS with a SuperKey?

Tnx in adv.

Also the 3rd post in this thread.

but here it is again. The superkey is the same (except no need to program like the passkey2), all you need to do is put it in and then flash.

Check out the site below, very similar to this site (many members belong as well) www.gbatemp.net sign up then check out their

guide to flashme, very informative with files needed

http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=33481

This should answer many of your questions.

Or use the one on this site

How-To: FlashMe using PassMe/SuperPass

http://scdev.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1402

but unfortunately the ds.gcdev site for the firmware is busted (sort of) but i think there is a link or software on this site.

FlashMe is that the sort of device that the SuperKey is?

FifthE1ement

A SuperKey is a Nopass device.

Please read my flashcart and homebrew guide here:

No FlashMe is a firmware hack that allows you to play NDS games without the need for a SuperKey. So, if you do install FlashMe, then you wont need the Superkey anymore. But you do need the SK to install FlashMe in the first place. It's totally optional.
