From what I've been experimenting with a couple of DS's, I've only been able to multi-player ds games from my super card with a flashed DS. When trying to multi-player a non-flashed DS, a nintendo screen showed up and froze.

Can anyone clarify this for me?

this is because your trying to play off a rom that doesn't bypass the rsa security which flashme does unlike a nopass device.  This doesn't allow you to play single cart multiplayer

thanks for the fast response

ps: hrm. I'm still stuck. I tried using the supercard on a flashme'd DS, but I couldnt multi with a unflashed DS.

pss: could you explain that in layman's terms?

Well if you have a passcard, the solution is this.  Put the passcard and the supercard to the unflashed DS, and use the flashed DS to download play.  I don't understand how that works, but it works.

The game hangs because a game sent from the flashCart will have an invalid RSA code and when downloading with a Non-flashed DS it will fail the check.
The method of sending from to a flashed DS works because the flashed DS recieving the Downloaded game ignores the RSA check (or something along those lines).
Using this method of sending from an Un-flashed DS will still fail when sending to a un-flashed DS.

Is it possible to play multiplayer with 2 Ds both with Supercard and Superkey or they need to be flashed ?

Thanks.

If its a multiCart game then it would be fine.
If its a single cart game, then the reciveing unit will still need to be flashed as in such a case it pretty much ignores whats in DS and GBA slots.

Thanks a lot.

I went through the list of games that support Multiplayer and tried both Multi-Card and Single-Card options.  From what I learned, nearly every game that support multi-card multiplayer works with two DS's with supercards.  The only game that didn't seem to work in this case was SBK, Snowboard Kids.

Single card multiplayer is hit & miss using non-flashed DS's.  Games like Sonic Rush, Sega Casino, Ridge Racer, Over the Hedge, Metroid Pinball work, though many games such as Metroid Prime Hunters & Goldeneye don't.

After flashing the target DS (which receives the game download), each of the single card games worked with the exception of SBK Snowboard Kids.

I've attached an csv file that can be open in excel that lists all the US multiplayer games, indicates whether they support Multi card or Single card multiplayer and whether they work with non-flashed/flashed DS's.  I got lazy on figuring out a few games, but most of the info is there.

Hope this helps.

A simialar list that I was working on can be found here:
http://www.immortalninja.com/NDS_DownLoad_Play.htm

as well as a full list of games
http://www.immortalninja.com/NDS_Full.htm

The list is a little out of date as I've checked upto 500 now just havent had time to update the page.
Will do so when I get back from my hols on the 20th.

What is interesting though is that I could never get Teenage mutant ninja turtles to work with mulitcart play. As soon as it tried to load the level it would crash. Maybe I should try playing with the patching options.

ATACK OF THE CAT!

A MUST SEE!!!!!

ImmortalNinja

Nope.
When you go into the download mode on the DS it uses the built in DS menu stuff and nothing in either slots will make a difference.
The thing the passme2 does is boot DS stuff from the GBA slot.

I have a supercard lite with superkey card.  When you guys talk about having a flashed ds lite, do you mean flashing it with the upgrade.scu file that you can download from supercard.cn?

Or a different kind of flashing?

thanks.

ImmortalNinja

Different kind of flashing.
Its flashing the actual DS bios with FlashMe so that you dont need the superKey.
Which reminds me that I should be getting off me butt to update that list!
