DSOrganize 2.25 with fix for SuperCard Lite Released!

QuoteHey again everyone. I'm putting out this release pretty quickly as it is just meant to be a maintenence release. Big things in this release include a bunch of fixes for random bugs and a new SuperCard driver, so hopefully the SCLite will work fine. Also, I took out the driver for ninjaSD and MK2/MK3 on the Blue and Green because you guys whined so much about the 3 second boot time. Enjoy, as this might be the last release for a few weeks, what with school and such taking up my time now.

QuoteFixes found in 2.25:

Fix for crash when nick is too long for server and you are autoconnecting.
Made DSOrganize IRC auto-pull nick from firmware if none is given.
Added alternate nick setting to DSO IRC.
Disabled the ability to type spaces in nickname entries on configuration.
Added check for bad server connections.
Changed scroll buffer on each page to only hold the last 100 lines.
Fixed ping command to not send until at least you are connected properly.
Made DSO check for valid path entry of HBDB download directory.
Fixed homebrew database to download into the dsorganize directory properly if it is /data/dsorganize/.
Added check for renaming to no file name to be more idiot-proof.
Took out MK2/MK3 and NinjaSD drivers for Green and Blue release to speed boot times (whiners).
Fixed the long hang time on hiding and unhiding files.
Added new supercard drivers to Blue release to hopefully fix scLite.
Reorganized configuration a little and added a few more options.
Added in option to change the default homebrew boot method.
Added in option to automatically insert bullets on the todo screen.
Added in option to swap the A and B button on all screens.
Fixed sluggishness on calculator buttons.
Fixed streams to use proxy if needed.
Made IRC advertise the /help command when starting up.
Changed L and R buttons on IRC to highlight the appropriate color if an offscreen window gets a message.
Added typed backbuffer on IRC. Hold Y and use the up or down buttons to scroll up to five lines back.
Added page-up and page-down to irc. Hold X and use the up and down buttons to scroll the view.
Changed /data/ directory detection method to only work if /DSOrganize/ directory is present inside.
Changed browser interface so that if there are multiple options for a file, A always views and Y always edits.
Added .hbdb and .pkg as editable file types.
Fixed some rendering errors in the simple html renderer.
Fixed weird error in syntax hilighting.
Fixed syntax hilighting logic for comments and html editor.
Fixed a bug where you were allowed to rename or delete the . and .. entries, thus destroying the file structure.
Fixed underlining error with links at the end of html files.
Added /away to IRC.
Added a failsafe in the FAT_rename code, hopefully this fixes dropped entries.

Works great here on SC Lite. Download the blue version but don't patch it, drop it straight on there. No dancing cow, just boots straight to Menu.

what's your set up?  I'm using a supercard lite upgraded to the latest firmware, a sandisk microsd 1GB (formated with FAT, not FAT32), flashme 7 installed on the DS, and the Blue version of the latest DSorganize called DSOrganize Blue.sc.nds and it won't work for me.  I have an older version which is working, but I'd like to have the added functionality of the newer version.

I am now almost certain that there are multiple versions of the SCLite hardware out there.  It seems some SCLites have major problems running certain homebrew, while others can run just about anything (although have problems writing to the MicroSD card unless patched with moonshell patcher).

For example, I just downloaded this latest build of DSOrganize, and tried a couple different tests while running it and never saw this mysterious "dancing cow" everyone is talking about.  It runs fine, however any changes you make are lost when you turn it off and back on again, since its still not writing to the MicroSD card, and Moonshell patcher still fails.

I've noticed the exact same discrepencies with NesDS.  Some SCLites will run it (but can't save).  Some won't run it at all.

Mine will boot if I stick the .sc.nds file right on the card.

but if I download a game it doesnt save it to the SD

It works fine for me. I'm using the latest FW and just dropping the file onto my memory.

whats the chance that this has to be patched by the momshell thing

TonyCool

Nothing here... The dancing cow that never stops.

I'm using a PNY 512Mb microSD

With DS Organize 2.2 pre release, patched with "moomshell patcher" I could download, save and run certain homebrew (not all), and it booted instantly!

Kill the cow!!!

Not working here either. have a ultra II 1g, while using superkey and sclite with the latest FW.

I also get the

Please wait... Initializing FAT
Trying: Supercard SD
*dancing Cow*

not patchable by moonshell patcher.

from youngmx forums: quoting dragonminded:

As many of you know already, 2.25 is out. I tried updating the supercard driveres in order to hopefully add support for SCLite, but instead it broke some of the other supercard stuff. When I get home from classes tonight, I'll recompile blue with the correct version. For now, I already know about the issue.

You kow a great way for this to not happen? If I had cards to test on, I could make sure releases work properly before putting them out.
