The first thing that came to mind when I heard about Homebrew apps for the DS is "A dictionary on my DS would KICK ASS!" When I am out with my DS, I always bump into these funky words I want to look up! Is there an DS homebrew Dictionary out yet? if not, can someone make one? LOL. If no one wants to, can you guys point me to the right directions for making homebrew apps? I am a second year CS college student hopefully I can figure it out. XD thanks in advance!!! I love this forum!!

The source and dictionary links appear to be good.  They don't expire.

I'm not sure. I actually haven't tried the software myself. I just read about in over at drunkencoders.com a few months back. Maybe someone else here has the original SD build? You could also try to contact the author.

Not that it helps in this particular instance but there is a commercial English to Japanese Dictionary.
Should be :
96: DS Rakubiki Jiten

But as I say only really useful if you know Japanese.

is there any english dictionary ?  like the one in dictionary.com or encarta

bitblt

AFAIK no. However dictionary.com and webster.com and wikipedia.org all work fine with the Nintendo DS Browser.

bitblt which version of the nintendo ds browser are you using?

bitblt

Japan version.

Actually I recently gave it to Shane R. Monroe, host of Dual Screen Radio, for his birthday.  Shane is a big fan of the Opera browser. I'm a big fan of Dual Screen Radio.

that was cool of you to do that!

Not really sure why you would need a dictionary on a DS but its still cool I guess. If I need a dictionary I think ill just go to dictionary.com on my psp.
