There will be plenty more contest and im pretty sure the next one will for a much more narrow group of members (ie: Supercard Guru's, people with 100 or more post,ect).

Post count is a catch22
On one hand a person with no posts can be seen as just a newbie or someone who registered and hasn't frequent the site.
Likewise a high post count can be someone that posts nonsence (like most of my posts).
On the other hand  a person with no/little posts can be someone who has read alot but doesn't like to post etc.
or a high post count can be a very informative person and an asset to the forums.
On the sony boards there is different ranks for how much you post, how much you read, and how long you have been a member.
Not like it matters much, its still a basis for trying to get people that are actually part of the community to participate and a chance to get something for it. I think its fun and keeps this place alive, plus even with the spammers... they will eventually go away when they don't win, or just be ignored by the mass amount of people here.

I think 60 entries is pretty cool no matter how long it takes, makes it really random for the winners. rather than like 20 people that just means that those 20 people had a better chance of something, rather than if your one of the 58 that didn't then it doesn't seem all that bad compared to like 18.... it that makes any sence, plus its his giveaway :3

I like contests like these. This shows really how great this community really is. Not only is it a friendly place to converse about our hobby (I can think of another place that is NOT even near as friendly), but you are given opportunities like this. Very cool. Proud to be a member here. I have never won anything online before...of course I hope I win too Thanks again for the opportunity!

I'll admit it for myself, I was under the 15 post rule and made a few posts to pop me up to the line. I read and obviously very rarely contribute. Most of the posts I make are for questions that are unanswered which normally are few and far in between. I come to the forums mainly to see what has been either fixed, updated, discovered, or speculated. So I understand if some of you who are upset about spammers. If it would honestly make some of you feel better about the winner of the contest then please remove my entry.

This is supposed to be fun not a competition. DeVS set the 15 post rule to encourage new members to engage in a positive way with this community. Can't we all just get along? Personally I don't mind if someone posts 15 times in one day as long as the posts are helpful or constructive in some way.

What do you have rather ? someone who informs and reads 1000 tutorials or someone who writes 100 times in this board before he reads some of these tutorials ? I prefer being a "15 post punks" and not a "1000 post champion" who´s like an illiterate.

Hmmm. There are only 3 members on this board who have a post count over 1000 . . .
