OK, here is the latest version patched with DLDI gui tool, to work on the SCDS1

siro

I switched back to DHCP for a change and the error message actually changed. It's

Connecting to DSLW Server..
Receiving cc 0..
Processing cc 0.. [347]
Server: Error retrieving XML data.
Reports were saved. (FAT)

Any thoughts?

doesn't work on mine ;.;

I get a FAT error whenever I try to save profile and I can't connect to the network either. Am I doing something wrong?

EDIT: Why do I always find a solution to my problem like 2 seconds after I post?

Oh well, I can connect to network but the lack of saving is a real bother. Thanks for the file though.

did you put a dsliveweather folder in the root dir?

i think start is the save key (or select, ds not in front of me).

... well that would explain it... I didn't know u needed to make a root directory for it. Thanks, it works fine now.

SUPERCARD ONE FTW!

Hi all

Was just looking around the forums for some decent homebrew and stumbled upon DSLiveWeather.

Unfortunately I cannot get it to work.  I get the "Libfat failed" message

I am using a Supercard Lite with 1.70 FW

I created an empty directory on the root of my microsd card and placed the .nds file into the root directory too.

(I also tried placing it inside the folder with no joy)

I downloaded the newest version from here and cant get it going.  My
ds is set up for wi-fi and I can't figure it out.

Any help gratefully received.

Thanks

Have you patched it with the latest DLDI patch for SC Lites yet?  See http://wiki.pocketheaven.com/DLDI for some general info on what DLDI is and how to patch.

Buck

Hi Dan, you truly are the man

I resolved the libfat issue, and the profiles have saved

Now I cannot find an access point.

Before I had the libfat problem fixed, it did manage to find an AP once, but it just keeps on searching now until I stop it myself.

My Wi-Fi connections for Mario Kart etc work fine.

I believe the problem is at my end rather than a universal fix, but again I would be grateful for any suggestions.

Cheers

Make sure your WFC settings are all manual, as setting everything to Automatic will usually not work for the DS homebrew Wifi library.  You can most of the info in your router's setup page, or perhaps through using ipconfig from the command line.

Buck

I am still having probs getting the access point to connect.

I deleted my wfc settings and made everything manual like you suggested dan.

I can save my profiles, just can't connect.

It connects using Mario Kart, but not with DSLiveWeather.

Hm, I'm not really sure what the issue is then.  I know newer DS Lites had issues with homebrew that uses Wifi, but I thought DSLiveWeather was recompiled with the new Wifi library to fix this issue.  Have you checked the forum thread at GBAdev.org?

Buck

I have managed to get this working briefly on my DS one card.

All was fine, connected to AP.  Weather for my home town was there and updating.

Switch it off and put it back on.  Profiles still there, but wont connect :(

I will persevere

Buck

I have recently purchased a new DS Lite, after the corner of my existing one broke off.  (looked after, not dropped, I was well pissed off). :x

Anyway, I set up my settings on my new black lite exactly same as the old one and it connected immediately.

Can only think the antenna on the old one was not that great, cos it connects every time now. Wierd!!  :?
