Would it be possible to create an app for the Superpass that lets you play the game inserted in the Superpass? Because the Superpass messed up my DS slot, and my solution of taping the perfect amount of paper to the inside of my DS is kinda annoying. It'd be a good thing too, so you could save all of your games to the CF/SD card as well. Any thoughts on this? Is it possible?

I think the majority of people would suggest FlashMe in this situation  :)

but then he can't play his original game

See, I don't want to open up my DS. If anything goes too wrong, I would not have the money to replace it any time soon. Which is why I still prefer the SuperPass (despite my small problem).

himura, a while back (possibly more than 6 to 8 weeks ago) some people had damaged their DS slots by pulling out the superpass without 'clicking it in' first.  someone posted a method of using a paper clip or some object to 'reset' the cartridge lock mechanism.  Do you know what i'm referring to?  or have you tried this already?

Himura

I've tried. It's past that. And I was among those people. I think that that is beyond repair. But I can always try again :D

This is the same thing that happened to me. I put a piece of paper in mine too without taping it. It's lodged down in there perfectly now and my games no longer fly across the room lol.

Yes it's possible :P I can write it for you but might take 2 weeks, i am very busy right now even if it's only about 20 instruction.

The DS game works with the Superpass but I don't have the perfect method.

I have the same problem and after playing a while with the Superpass/SC (tried to remove it, put it, tried to put the SC not completely to not have the rom menu), I managed to run Metroid and Splinter Cell from the Superpass, but I can't find a good method to have them working everytime, maybe knowing that is working somehow (I didn't dream when I try them), you could try to ask roman who probably know the good method.

Don't know what this means but this should help anyone looking into it:
loopy_ hmm.. actually, it's not difficult at all.  jump arm7 to *(27ffe38), arm9 to *(27ffe28)+0x800
loopy_ that should do the trick..
loopy_ those are the load addresses instead of start addresses.  passme doesn't change the load addrs
loopy_ arm7 start=load and arm9 start=load+0x800 (not guaranteed, i've always seen it that way)

Not up on CPLD/VHDL code, but you could add a switch to power or ground (not sure if the thing can detect hi OR low) in the code for the unused pins that were reserved for LED's on the passme, and essentially have the same sort of a switch that PassKey (G6/M3) has by telling it to do the passthru on all pins if the switch is off and do the patching on the pins that are patched if its on...

you could also just get a passkey, I think those sell for about 15USD + shipping, wrap under the DS instead of stick out and have the switch already...

hi ,

I done the same stoopid thang in mins of getting my superpass.

My method is to wrap a bit of card (ciggy pack) in electrical tape , only one layer.  Slide this in with the DS cart making sure you leave a little tab to pull on.When want to remove the DS cart pull on the tab.

Obviously using flashme and tend to leave warioware cart permanently jammed in.

Id love to know more about the paperclip method , i spent a good 20mins in there with a kebab skewer and no luck reseeting mine.

any tips on what i should be doing with the paper clip ...?

First, grab a light/flashlight and look on the side of the slot where the DS game has the indent on the backside. There is a little black plastic prong sticking out in the DS slot that mates with the notch in the DS cart, and sometimes its wobbly enough that pulling the superpass out directly allows the prong to jump over the hole wrather than breaking off.

I used a screwdriver to test it (mine isnt broken and hopefully will not get broken, I pulled my MagicKey 3 out without thinking the other day, but the prong came back up like it was normal), but if you basically push the piece in that has the prong on it, it should snick like when you put in a DS game before and come back out to its normal position when a game isnt in the DS.

thanks for taking time to have a look.

seems my notch isnt broken , just wont stay down when it clicks.  I get the click and then immediately pops back out.  Looks like nothing can be done with mine , ill stick with the tab until they make a facelift version of ds.
