Can intros be removed from ROMs (ie Castlevania DS)

Since I changed from Supercard CF to Supercard Mini-SD, the intro on Castlevania is very slow, as we all know.
Is there an EASY way to strip the intro and save a little space on my memory card? I'm not a coder so hex etc. is not really an option.

get a better minisd card theres a 80x transcend 2GB for 40$ on newegg.com that should work with the new patching software. And taking out the intro is not possible unless you can get the company to give you the code.

Download the ripped rom. Or you can use DSlazy and rip it out urself.

sonicwind, i'm already using an 80x card and the latest patching gaff. doesn't seem to help. i can't really justify spending money on a new card for an intro i never watch, either.

I tried DSLazy, all it does is trim the ROM like the supercard patcher, I can't find an option to remove the intro movie.

Anyone?

Well, i've seen trimmed Castlevania DS on irc channel, try to search for 'Castlevania DS' +nointro.

@ sonicwind, that is what i HAVE been doing, but as I said I wish to remove it.

@ zap, I'm not familiar with IRC, I did some searches and came up with nothing... surely I need the name of a specific irc channel to search?

Patch it, then wop the patched rom with cut32.exe... rename the 32mb chunk apropiately. That's what I do..ooo

where would i find this cut32.exe ? i googled with no luck... does it come with instructions? if not, do you think you could describe the process as I am not a coder. My knowledge stretches to ms-dos commands and thats about it. the word 'wop' means nothing to me....

pick up patched file with mouse and drop it onto the cut32.exe file

Thanks, I followed your instructions and renamed the 32meg output file appropriately... all seemed well until the game tried to play the intro - it played the first 3 seconds or so then crashed... is this normal?

Yes thats normal. You have to press start so it wont freeze.
