hi, i'm new and i decided to buy a supercard lite for my DS lite, after a few days of documentation here  :D
well after a few days i think i know enough to patching nds and updating supercard without problems.
Just a thing: i heard that the SC Lite it's very hard to take off, so i was asking me if there's a way to go to the Ds main menu (pictochat, option, ecc.) instead of supercard menu.
I did a search and i found out that if you have flashme installed you can do this by holding Select... are there other ways? It's dangerous to install flashme on Lite (i read that there's a chance to brick your ds..)?
Thanks anyay

Well if you don't have flashme, it will just go to the main ds menu automatically.  I think holding select if the only way if you have flashme.

really? So, if i have the SC Lite inserted and i power on the DS, it will go to the main ds menu automatically? I thought that it started with the Supercard menu...

Megaleon, If you have an sclite inserted with out being flashed it will go to ds menu.

If you have the sclite with a superkey installed it goes to the directly to the gba slot (where the sclite is inserted). Holding the select key does nothing for you in this scenario.

If you have the sclite installed and have installed flashme, it boots to the gba slot unless you hold the select key and goes to the ds slot, pictochat.

thanks, so in my case (Ds un-flahed, SC Lite & Superkey) is the superkey that makes difference? If i want to set some option in the main DS menu i don't have to take off the supercard, but only the superkey...

yep only pop out the superkey, like onekelly said, have the superkey in makes it automatically go to the supercard menu, popping it out will allow the ds to boot up normally.

it's worth knowing that some superkey-like-devices (for example, the 'max media launcher') aren't very well constructed, and repeated use can damage the ds-lite's ejection system. i got one cus it was cheap, and ended up paying for repairs. :(

Flashing lites is so easy now thanks to the tutorial (using tinfoil to short while plugged in) I've flashed 5 lites now with no problems.
