dsheretic saving woes

I managed to get dsheretic working on my SC Lite a few days ago, but haven't really played it since I discovered that it doesn't keep the saves after rebooting the DS Lite. I tried both the SuperCard Magic Homebrew patcher and the Moonshell patcher (separately and combined) with no luck. The Moonshell patcher won't even accept the dsheretic .nds file, neither before or after adding the heretic.wad to it.

Anyone have any luck getting saves to work with dsheretic? I would *really* like to play this game again (such memories).

Don't you have to use the L+R+Select+A for most homebrew things to save?

thats just for gba games.  I do'nt know about gba homebrew though.

dsheretic isn't GBA homebrew. It's DS homebrew, and uses both screens and the stylus. Since it's homebrew, I don't think it's even possible to run it through the normal patcher.

Yes, DSHeretic is DS homebrew.  It was released back in 2005 and I'm pretty sure it will only save/load using GBAMP, SCCF, and M3CF.  Try contacting the author about doing an update using the latest FAT drivers and/or make a small donation to the project.

Thanks! It wasn't the answer I was hoping for, but at least I know what's going on. I'll see if I can contact the author.
