Hey guys. I'm really hoping someone can help me. I bought M3 DS real. I did everything to get it up and running. I tested 2 backups on it and it worked with no problem. Since it was good to go, I loaded it with a few more backups. The DSL turned on and then shut down. It will NOT turn back on. I tried both different functional batteries and ac adpaters and they do not work either. I also tried my battery and ac adapter on other peoples DSL's and they worked fine.

The only thing that happens is the red/orange light comes on when i plug it on the charger for about 1 second and then thats it. I opened it up and the fuses look ok. I tried the bridging the SL1 also, and it still does nothing. The DS is brand new, but I bought it on E-Bay so I cant return it anywhere. Please help me out if you can , I dont know what else to do. Thanks in advance guys.

reigndropz, welcome to scdev!

Hopefully you get more responses as to what your ds issue is, but you may want to look into this thread in the meantime.

Just a little cost or you can read the info given and try it yourself. I recommend reading through the postings as many people are happy with his service.

I had the same problem and it was water damage. I would have a good look round the motherboard front and back next to where any ribbon cables.

Thanks guys for getting back to me! No water damage, I've checked the board pretty well. And i've tried everything I those posts that were listed. This DS WAS working fine with no issues. It was only after I put the backup games on the card that it stopped working

You can try the nintendo website and entering the serial number to see if it is still in warranty. If you get a message saying that the system's serial number is not in their database, you can call them, give them the serial, and tell them it was just purchased at a local store. They will add the serial to their database and give you a full warranty as of that call. I did this with a DS Lite I purchased on ebay and I now have a year warranty on the unit :)

Possibilities:

- blown Fuse (most times F2)
- problem with a Ribbon cable (wrong seated or damaged)

Wow...M3Real blow up another DS :P

Very odd...I have heard this on many site forums as well...along with the R4 lately. Hopefully just some isolated instances...
