So I just download the Benq iXtreme v1.41, dump the original Benq firmware and use the "Make iXtreme firmware.cmd" to make a iXtreme file and then erase the dvd drive and write the new flash I made with iXtreme? Sorry for all the questions, but the XboX im gonna do is not mine and I don't want to F it up,lol.

DosFlash32 has worked on two BenQ drives i've done.

Dump Original Firmware 1st.

Erase Original Firmware from drive 2nd.

Write Modified Firmware to drive 3rd.

Thats how I flash mine too. Quick fast and easy with no unecessary steps

Well if they repaired it and didn't swap the drive it might work. The newest BenQ/Liteon drives are unflashable  :tard:

ill be fixing it myself (ive figured out how to do it effectively) and will probably buy a drive for it later on :x

You have to rip the keys off the current drive and flash those keys to a new drive. Can't just plug and play DVD drives on the XboX 360 like you can the Wii.

Yeah you could use it

DeVS

You could use it if you had the keys ripped from the original drive and then patched the new drive with the old keys. Belive me I went through this same headache. I had a benq and wanted to add a Hitachi drive. I didn't read up before and found out the hard way. The XboX360 drives are NOT hot swappable like the Wii's.
