first i read about the new os and it having multiple skins, is there anyway to access it withing the card menu? because if it requires switching it up manually using the pc that's what i have been doing. can someone point me in the right direction?

Um, I think I understand what you're saying.

All you need to do is click Options at the top of the file browser, click Skin and then touch the skin you want to switch to.
