hi everybody.

i bought a ds and because money doesn't grow on my back i want to buy a ''supercard'' for my ds.

i have found the following cards but i cant make a decision which one is the best.

TopToy DSTT Card for NDS Lite + Kingston Japan 2GB TF

SuperCard DS-One Multimedia Card (English SDHC Version)

EZFlash V Plus Cart for NDS and NDS Lite (New Version)

which one do you think is best?

jmr

dont buy any of them!!
if you can fork out the extra cash then buy a CycloDS Evolution as its the best cart you can get IMHO

but if you have to buy 1 of the 3 you posted get the scdsone as it has a lot of features & the option of running the DSTT loader if you want to keep it simple

Lol, jmr, this is the SCdev forum, not Cyclodev.....don't advertise the competition no matter how good it may be  ;D

its really a matter of opinion, if you want the best the dstt is not going to be that, its a low end card with decent features. You either get a supercard-one or a cyclo ds, supercard is more hands on as you have more to tweak while cyclo is less about that. Either way you should be a happy buyer. :)

What about the Edge, basically a cyclo DS. Also are you set on buying from Dealextreme? The take forever to receive. Now Real Hot stuff may be slightly more but great customer service and alot quicker with shipping.

Totally makes sense.

Just and FYI, the DSTT/TopToyDS <-- fake from DX at the moment.

The Itouch are not getting great reviews.

I would go with the EDGE (for ease of use) and then SCDS1 if you want to tinker a little more.

Alright the super STAY AWAY froms are the ND1, Mars and N5.  The one's I don't recommend even considering are DS Linker (it used to be good, but not so much any more) and DSTT (really cheap, easy to use and such, but I think paying the extra few dollars for the other carts is a much better deal).

Now moving on to the EZ Flash V.  Go for the Lite/Compact Edition, the freebies are pretty useless, I mean if you are stretched for every dollar, if you are considering other carts over the few dollars...  At the moment the EZ Flash V isn't the best choice, and there are plenty of haters out there, but most people who have actually used the EZV will tell you it was a pleasant experience, and that the cart just feels solid.  It doesn't have any shiny freatures, but feels durable and simple to use.  As well, the EZ Team have supported their cart well, and are planning some big stuff (or so they say), if you trust them (I do...), then you might be tempted to get one just to see what they do.

Realistically though, you should consider the EDGE, the AceKard 2 and the Supercard DS ONE.  The Supercard DS ONE being the most "advanced", but has a clunky, non-user friendly sort of interface (http://dsdatabase.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=895&view=unread#unread for details).  The EDGE being much more polished, but lacks some of the features offered on the Supercard DS ONE, and the AceKard 2 is a nice balance between the two.

If you could provide some more details about what you are looking for, I could detail more about the options.

I would stay away from the AK2 as there are many issues with it right now from DealExtreme (see many threads on GBATemp). Last week I had to return on as it died on me. I also know of another reliable person from this site who recently had to return one as well. I did like the card, except for the fact that it crapped out. I went with the Edge instead. IMO, i would stay away from AK2.

Well it isn't that bad, I had one from the time of the bad batch that crapped out on me, but my review samples are still running strong.  I also heard of the new revision, a 2.1 version which seems to be... better.

wel i want to play NDS games and eventually GBA. but gba isn't necessary because i also have a Ez-flash IV for the gba that workes fine. question. if i put for example Pokemon sapphire in the ds flash card does the real time clock work? (the last question is not very important for the purchase)
a cheat engine is also handy but not the must. of course i want it to save my savegames. and it must hande pokemon ds games fine.
hope i gave enough information

also i'm very careful of buying a supercard because i bought a supercard CF for the advanced a wile ago and it died very quick

i wil delete the cards that are crossed away from the list that i should not buy
