Supercard Lite not writing to new Kingston 2GB

I have a supercard lite, and it works fine with my old Sandisk 1GB. I've been using it for over 2 years, with no problems, so I can eliminate the supercard and user-error as the problem.

I recently bought a new Kingston 2GB (Japan), I formatted it immediately to Fat16. I took all the games on the 1GB sandisk, and copied them directly over to the Kingston, no re-patching. Nothing saves on the kingston, but I tried it on sandisk (haven't deleted yet), all of it works.

So I try to google the problem, and I found a "fat_write_test.nds" utility. As expected it verifies OK on sandisk and fails on kingston. The kingston is completely writable when on the PC, but not when in the supercard

Has anyone else had this problem?

I have the same problem.  I was able to play nes roms from the kingston card.  I was even able to save state.  However, moonshell wouldn't work at all.  I ended up getting a 2GB sandisk and everything works just fine.
