This is all really brand new to me, but I really would like to have the privledge of downloading and playing games on my Wii. Thing is, the only modding I have ever done is to my DS, and that was for the Supercard back in the day. The only thing I know is I need a modchip, and to do some soldering, which completely turns me off because the only soldering I have ever done was in school on a small motherboard. :D

My Wii was a launch model, and I live in the UK. Can anyone point me into the right direction of whether I should do it or not? Like was anyone else in this position? A guide will be great or something. Thanks.

you dont need to chip your wii to play backups anymore http://www.scdev.org/forum/index.php/topic,14595.0.html

EDIT
if you google Wiigator backup loader there loads of info on this loader as well (its a newer version)

Awesome man. I already have the Homebrew channel installed because I was bored one day, so this is much easier than buying a modchip. Thanks. :D

The wiiClip works well and is (as the name implies) just clipped on. Takes about 10 mins in total.
