I have a specific PSRam Error...

Yes, I know that PSRAM errors are very common and there have been plenty of posts about it which I have read up on, however the circumstances of my problem is a little different. I have posted this on a different Supercard forum and received an answer, but I would like to receive some other opinions on it. The problem is as follows.

Basically, after playing a game or so, my cart will start freezing and using the self-diagonistic test will display a PSRam/Cell error at 006cdc (or so) all the time. However, the next morning the PSRAM error will suddenly be gone, testing the PSRAM using the diagnostic test will show me "PSRAM Okay!" and I can play for a while before this repeats itself.

Because of my circumstances, the retailer I have bought the Supercard DS One from refuses to exchange it as I am unable to demonstrate this reliably and he claims that I have corrupted the firmware on the cart somehow. Is there any information someone can give me on this? For example, he claims that because I changed the folder such that each game has its own folder instead of the default he sold to me where all of the games are in the original root folder that it caused the "corruption", or perhaps that because I have transferred the sav files over from my old R4 (which loads and plays fine to me) but is this possible? The games I have been playing on the cart are "The World Ends With You" and the latest Castlevania game.

Thank you for your help.

since you have said you have read all the post on the PSRAM errror you must have tryed the fixes & they must not have worked
& the place you bought it from wont replace it cause you cant prove it has a psram error

the only thing i can think of is buy another cart & if your gonna buy another supercard buy it of an official dealer http://eng.supercard.cn/dealer.htm

Well, is it possible to corrupt the firmware on the cart just by doing certain things? I don't mean something like randomly editing the system files or running homebrew software, I mean just by playing normal roms and such. If I can prove that it isn't, I might be able to get it exchanged.

It's not really possible to corrupt the firmware through normal usage like that.  The PSRAM error is a hardware issue.  Firmware is strictly software, and on the Supercard DS it takes a special hardware tool called the Supermate to do anything to the firmware manually.  Even if you borked your firmware, it would have no effect on whether the PSRAM is damaged or not.
