...which i have attempted to answer myself by trawling here for a while, but to no avail.....

Can the new MarioKart be used as the "original"cart with the Superpass?? also....
Does the size of the DS original game being used have any bearing on functionality???
Reading between the lines i picked up there were certain issues pertaining to saving??this may well have been addressed with the latest software....

I ask as the NDS's purchased recently didnt come with a Demo.....my serials look hopeful, but am still to buy SD's and carts......Does it matter what games i buy???
Thanx in advance to anyone who gives of there time to answer this!!

I never tried Mario Kart DS on the SuperPass but I've tried it with my FlashMe-ed V5 DS and it works as the original cart.

I had problem using Mario 64 (US) as the original cart with FlashMe but not with SuperPass, so you might want to give this a miss.

As for the save sizes, some games you may not be able to save or play unless you allow it to save into the original cartridge. For this to work you need to have an original cartridge that is the same size as the game you want to play, i.e. Daigasso Band Brothers uses 2M save size, it needs to be saved onto an original cart that is also 2M save size like Nintendogs.

However, if you allow the game to save to your cart it means your original save games on that cart is gone.

If you mean the save size of the file, read satan's post.

If you mean the size of the game (64mbit-1024mbit) yes and no. Most games are supported by direct reading from the supercard. A few games run a little slow because of this since direct reading is slower then reading straight from a DS cart.

The only solution for this is to load a game into the supercard's built in ram... but that's limited to 256mbit in size.

The good news is, Nintendo has been releasing games in a slower form of DS media which is even better for us since it's speed is closer to a SD or CF card on the super card (and it's good news for nintendo too since the games are cheaper to produce)

thanks Satan and Koji for yr advice...

I forgot to mention yesterday that i took receipt of the Supercards and a Superpass yesterday from Kicktrading in Canada(a quick plug if its allowed as they really were great....I'm in Ozzie)...i am now at the point were i need to buy 2 original carts......my train of thought went along the lines of "...get a game not supported by Supercard.."hence my MK query.....

Am i missing something here....?It sounds like the "original"cart size is critically important to saving??
My one son wants Wario Touched!, the other Nintendogs......Help!!
Koji, sorry if you answered this already...you threw me with yr "Yes and No" answer(given the 4 questions....)!!

Anybody used MK as their cart??Please??
Thanks

Koji

Game save is NOT important since most games save directly to your SD/CF card. It used to be a big deal before direct saving.

Also, Mario Kart has been, again, confirmed to work on the next version of firmware.

thanks for tuning in again Koji...but i think in your haste to keep pointing out to people that MK will work with the new firmware you missed my question...
Can the MK cart be used in conjunction with the Passme???

Thanks for clearing up the save issues.....

I feel as though my naivety is making you angry\frustrated with me!!
Sorry for that, i appreciate the efforts on yr part...

Reading between the lines then, if it works on a flashme -ed DS it works on Superpass??
Remember Guys....you are trying to help people on these forums....

5 minutes later....
Just read in a thread here that the new firmware release due out in a day or two will mean you dont need a DS cart in the slot(Koji...you wrote it)???
