Hi,

I have flashed several DS's with flashme over time.. but I just traded in my old one for the new Mario Edition DS.. but it seems that the SL1 will not short.. anyone?!?!?

I heard that there were some new hardware chagnes similar to the DSi which do not allow for SL1 to be shorted..?

I heard that some newer DS's may have to be shorted with a shorting tool that has resistance? Well, I've tried a 1kohm resistor with no luck.. also a lead pencil.. no luck.. (ofcourse I tried the obvious foil & toothpick - that always worked for me in the past)

Thanks again, any help is greatly appreciated...

I know DSi is a problem but I'm not aware of any changes to DS lite models.  It's possible. Regardless if you have a SLOT1 card like DSONE or CycloDS you don't need FlashMe.

Thank you.. I have a slot 1 card.. but Honestly. I miss my flashme.. I like being able to use my supercard minisd with out having to use a slot 1 solution.. I also have a superkey.. but still, I'd rather get flashme on there..

weird thing. I flashed my lil girls new ds not too long ago.. like 3-4 months ago.. (and I've flashed maaaany ds's in the past..)

It's possible, but I doubt Nintendo would disable SL1 because SLOT1 cards don't require DS modifications anymore. Maybe there is a thin coating of insulating film on the SL1 contact pads? Try gently scratching the pads with a screwdriver or something and then try shorting SL1 again.

There was a guy on the GBAdev forums who had this exact issue months ago.  I don't believe he ever found a fix, unfortunately.
