Hi all,

Following this topic: http://www.scdev.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1405...

I have followed the instructions in the .doc manual to install the Gigabyte drivers, but have come across a (hopefully) small problem.

I am up to the "Set-up (PC side)" of the instructions, where I am told to right click on the tray icon and select "switch to AP mode". Problem is, there is no such option. The image aid in the document shows a disconnected card icon, mine shows a "card not exist" icon. Printed screened below:

Scrolled over...

And when right clicked...

I think the problem is the driver not reading the card, since the hardware detection wizard was closed and the drivers were installed seperately.

Can anyone offer some assistance? I have a Dlink DWL- G510 RevB, it is not on the supported list, though the Rev C1 version of the card is.

Thanks a lot

I'm afraid its not going to work if the card isn't supported.

The table listed only one PCI card from each manufacturer, but Dlink has many wireless PCI cards... And since they're the same model I'm guessing they're based on the same chipsets...

I still wish to give it a shot, can anyone help?

Its quite common for them to change chipsets between revisions but if you wish to ignore the fact it isn't supported... good luck ;)

I managed to get it to connect! :D Apparantly I had to force the thing to read the gigabyte drivers so I could use the access point option, also used an older version of the gigabyte drivers (for some reason 1.5 won't work). Well, there you go :).

Btw my friend code is 133203 986406 :).

Dudu.exe

if you intalled and the two icons ( a little pc and a GX icon ) your card is not compatible..
