Hello. I'm new to all of this and need some basic assistance, if anyone can help. I have just bought an M3 card with an 8GB Micro SD adapter. So far so good. I have downloaded Moonshell to the MicroSD card - which all went well but when I put the M3 card in the DS Liteall I get is the the bottom screen showing the message;

[LANGUAGE : ENGLISH]

No system file found !
Put system file in

Can anyone help me overcome this error and advise what I should do?

Many thanks in anticipation. :)

jmr

do you have the M3 loader on your memory card?
moonshell is only a media player you have to have the M3 "system files" to load your games & media
you can get the "system files" for your cart here find the cart you have & unpack the files to your memory card

Thanks very much for the prompt response. I'm looking now but how would I know (easily) what cart I have?

Ah yes!

M3 DS REAL - would that be it?

I think we're getting somewhere now. thanks for your help so far.

I can now start the DS and can get into the GM screen. Now I guess I need to load games and video's etc.

Do you know if there a specific file structure I should observe?

jmr

i dont have a m3 cart but i would say you could have individual folders (games, homebrew, music, video, txt, etc, etc) but theres probably a file limit of about 50-100 files to folder

I'll give it a go. Many thanks for your help  :)

JMR is correct you can have individual folders using M3 REAL  :)

you can also use the M3 REAL Triple boot loader this will  enable you to use SAKURA, Itouch and M3 REAL loaders and switch between them when booting up :)

here's a link to download the latest version ...

M3_iSakuReal loader  link

just unzip and copy everything to your mem card  ..(might be a good idea to backup anything you may need like games and saves and cheat files and then format the card to start fresh :) )

installing to a clean card is best with the TRIPLE loader then there are no conflicts with loaders already on there :)

to boot SAKURA just turn your ds on and SAKURA will load automatically :)

to boot M3 REAL start the ds and hold down "X" and it will boot the M3 REAL loader.

to boot Itouch  start the ds and hold down "Y" and it will boot the Itouch loader .

SAKURA is a really good media player for videos and MP3's  and can load games fine  ..etc but some homebrew has trouble loading on it  ..

solution is to just boot one of the other two and load any problematic homebrew in that instead ;)

note with SAKURA too you can load games, media, pictures etc ANYWHERE on the DS they will load fine :)
