Problem with new DS Lite

Hi all

My wife had a DS Lite which I bought two years ago with a SuperCard.  No problems.

That broke and I bought her another one this Christmas - a new metallic pink one - think it came from the US.
This is now set up with the SuperCard but she's having some problems.

Sometimes when the DS is switched on the SC is not recognised and the standard DS screen comes up instead.

Most games now crash after a few minutes.  These same games that crash work fine on our sons 18 month old
DS Lite - even using her MicroSD card.

She used to play Pokemon Diamond with our son linked up but this crashes also.

Have there been any software / hardware modifications that stop SuperCard games from working properly?
Anyone any other ideas?

Thanks for reading and a happy new year ;D ;D ;D

Not that I know of.  No.  As far as I know, Supercard should work rather well on DS and DS Lite.  I know what you describe though because mine sometimes does it although it usually goes away after I plug it out and give the slot a good blow.  It could either be the connector from your SC to the GBA slot or the SD card on the SC.  Good luck.

Maybe make sure the contacts are clean on the SC and possibly on the new DS.  Maybe get a can of compressed air and blast some in there.  Not sure.  Sounds to me like it's definitely an issue with the new DS...

Hi guys

Thanks for the suggestions.
I'll have a go and report back.

Ha ha  ;D ;D ;D

I've got it working without ever crashing.
All I did was buy a new micro SD card, formatted it and copied all the games across and it's now working perfectly.

I had some shoddy SD cards, too.  Glad you got it working.
