Where can I just get the 360 console?

Anyone know which retail (preferred) will just sell the 360 console? My old xbox got 1 flashing red light and I'm not going to pay 94 dollars to get it fixed.

with microsoft u can get any issues like flashing red lights sorted for free u should have extended warrenty on it ... unless its modded it would be worth asking them tell em its intermittent between 1 light and 3 and u dont know what it is!?

the ARCADE version is the cheapest model here in the UK its £99 for the arcade!

Well I did call them and they said the extended warranty only covers the three red rings (RROD). Microsoft just highway robbed me

Tell em it's giving you the 3 red rings then,lol. They don't take your console and fix it and then send back the same console. They send you a different refurbed console and then they take yours and throw it in the pile of consoles that will be fixed and refurbed to someone else. If I were you I would call and say that it was giving you 1 red ring then it would work for a bit and now you get nothing but 3 red rings, and I would bet the house they will exchange the console for you. We all have our opinions on the evil empire of M$, but when it has come to replacing XboX 360's that are broke, M$ has had a VERY solid record of customer satisfaction.

Really? I was terrified to do that because I read stories where people did that and M$ just sent it back and charged them for shipping. Hmmm....I'm going to try that. They don't actually check your console? Also, when they send you a fix console, do you get another 1 year warranty?

My nephew got his 360 at launch and he went through the red ring ordeal. He went threw 3 XboX 360s before he got one that worked. When my sister called and asked why they kept sending back a broken 360 instead of checking to make sure it worked after they "fixed" it, they said it was because they don't actually send you the same console you sent them, they send you a different one so that you don't have to wait weeks for that 1 console you sent in to be fixed and sent back. His warrenty was extended for 1 year but that was because he was in the first batch of 360s where M$ extended ALL the 360's warranty after the initial launch consoles had their 1 year warranty expire.

KEYWORDS to tell them not sure whats wrong with my console THE FAULT APPEARS INTERMITTENT ... ie not always

give it a few days then tell them ....

Every now and then it works OK then suddenly 3 it flashes 3 lights red ones .. does that mean something ?? ....... it doesn't always happen only when I've played it for a couple of hours and the case feels quite hot when it happens

play dumb and be polite!

It's not a good idea to buy just the console because they don't all have the same power supplies.

If its a brand new console then it will come with a new correct power supply would it not?

My brother has been fixing xbox360s. It's ridiculous how failure prone they are and amazingly they are STILL using some of the faulty parts.

What do people expect from a company that's now beta testing its 7th operating system and still cannot get that right either!

Oh well at least its good news for those who have RROD can still get theirs replaced/repaired for free upto 3 years after purchase if its not been modded

Our eldest one's 360 will be going back under warranty pretty soon its failing to read disks more often lately

Quite fortunate its a warranty repair really .... as it was a second hand unit when he got it months ago ...when I rang Microsuck to get a free HD transfer kit from them ...I found out it's still got about 5 months warranty left on it!

Btw anyone else spot on the instructions for the transfer kit where it says your supposed DISPOSE OF IT AFTER USE? .... what a stupid waste!

Going keep it in case he wants to change the cheapo 60gb he just got to a 120gb later on

Enixcell, what error code does your xbox give? Sometimes 1 flashing light means a faulty hard drive, video cable or power supply, you might want to check that out before sending your xbox to MS.
