ALL CURRENT CARDS have been tested NONE WORKED!

a couple of OLD SCHOOL cards/SUPERKEY type swap cards apparently worked?!

hence they started making the compatible ones

thanx KKan, college and work has almost take me completely out of the scene, to busy tor research the forums. well i just sold my triforce ds lite, i want to wait to buy dsi cuz they always take out better colors and designs but ill have to just buy the black one upon  release. ima hold of the dsi flashcart FTM, in till someone try's it with the US Dsi model. does anyone recommend a certain brand ATM? ACekard? EZ?

Wise IDEA hold out till at least a month or more after the USA and EUR releases of the DSi and see what happens!

Yeah seems like a long wait but long enough for them to figure a workaround and plenty of time for testing by others that buy them along with the various cards!

Oz mods say the AK2i works on the AUS release DSi outta the box but no proof has been made of as to what happens after a firmware update of the DSi if it nukes it or not!?

My guess is that a Vanilla fresh DSi will work fine but the minute its updated BAM it will kill/block the flashcards from working on them!

My second guess is that they will release a v2 Dsi card/cards that's flash upgradable or a patch nds file like the TTDS that upgrades the firmware of the flashcard when needed!

I suggested to test before and after update of the DSi firmware and to test different AK2i cards in case their was a pcb revision mid production with cheaper components but the suggestion was sidestepped with a why should their be a need to test other cards!?

apparently only works using ENGLISH language settings in the DSi ... changing languages it does not work!?

still not sure if an update to the DSi firmware will kill the cards use or not!?

This is what the people at GBAtemp are asking as, to access the shop, you have to update the firmware.

It's a case of watch this space (though I have just re-ordered for my son from play.com which is doing an accessory pack for free- he's paying!).

Seems that all of the cards work even after the 1.3 update which gives 1000 points in the shop.

its holding a bit of actual game code which works as the exploit. this is why the "english" game in the code forces the ak2i to boot on the dsi in "english" language mode

It explains why it only works in English!

I decided to go with the Acekard2i since everyone is saying it works after the firmware update. I really like the new interface of the DSi!

Yeah the Acekard works with the USA DSi even after the update. This means I will most likely be getting a DSi and an AceKard 2i!

I was at a shop today planning to buy a DSi, but it was sold out, and sold out in the other shop I went to too.  So I guess I'll be getting it a little later, few days from now or so.  Too bad I have no DSi flash carts on me.

Doing some research, AceKard 2i is probably your best bet, but don't put the EZ Flash Vi too far behind either.  I think it is a pretty strong contender, especially since they have been doing some swapping with the core already.  The fact that they can update the core so easily is a nice touch, and of course the EZ Flash team did deliver some real time save and real time guide support, and promises of a new GUI is definitely a plus. 

Needless to say, I'm going to buy both and make updated reviews.    God, the DSi is such a drain on the wallet

Don't think that it is doing so well here in the UK; I cancelled an internet order on Saturday and picked it up at the local Toys R Us which had it discounted 10% (£135 not £150). They had loads in stock.
