I was thinking about making this topic last night, but I was too tired.

An old solderless Xodus modchip on my xbox (wich I transformed to a soldered modchip cause I was too tired with it not working every time I moved my xbox)
Got a swap magic 3.3 and slim tool for my brand new PS2.
Got PSO+BBA on my GC using some of the networked loader floating around the net

40gb Maxtor HDD (with a whole lot of music games)

Corrupt 160gb Maxtor HDD (It only has DDRMAX, DDRMAX2US, DDR ExtremeUS, and Tony Hawk's Underground 2 on it.  It's corrupt and I can't add any more games).

Why not reformat your corrupted drive and then add your games back to it?

If it's corrupt, I'd definitely reformat it, myself.  Is the file-structure corrupt, or are the physical platters corrupt (bad sectors, et cetera)?

I think the hard drive is physically corrupt.  It makes odd clicking noises every once in a while (they differ from my 200gb maxtor and 40gb maxtor HDDs), and it's been reformatted several times.  

I personally think it was just a faulty hard drive.  I can't take it back since it originally belonged to a friend of mine, who gave it to me for free because it ate 30gb of his music.  It's about half a year old, and apparently no longer under warrenty.

I'd love to try defragmenting it and formatting it to get as much space as possible out of it, though.  I'll report back with more info after a few experiments.

Did you check the serial number at www.maxtor.com to see if it still is under manufacturer warranty?

GameStation is its own system:  it has a complete SNES inside, matched with a CD-ROM, that plays CD backups of SNES games.
