If you are able to disassemble the DS, completely disassemble it and leave it in a dry place where it won't be bumped or disturbed. Leave it there for a few days to dry out after shaking out any water that you can, and it should be fine. Nintendo products seem to be pretty resistant to water-related damage, so it should clear up pretty quickly. My old GBC got submerged in water and had a "wet" looking screen; was fine after a night of drying out.

Don't turn it on until it is COMPLETELY dry.  Think 10 days if you don't rip it apart to leave it to dry.

Its permant damage i think.
I didnt open it up for over 2 months and it still looks broken. Can it dry without opening it up?

If you think its dead; what's the harm in opening it up anyways?

Buy some tri-wing screwdrivers from http://dealextreme for like $0.69 and open it up.
